You know you have a Superman son when…he lifts the whole vacuum over his body.
{It may make your heart stop seeing it for an entirely different reason}
Have you (or a family member) ever said something or done something, and then you think, yeah I’m going to hell?! Sooooo…on Sunday I didn’t go to church because I had to work the day shift, but mom was carrying him around during the first hour, I think, when she ran into our new Stake Prez, and he got right in Kingston’s face and started talking to him. Well, apparently Kingston didn’t like that, so he slapped him! Hard. In the face. Hmmm. We’ve been trying to break this new habit of Kingston’s. He seem to enjoy hitting everyone in the faces…I have no idea where he got it from because I cannot recall Tim and I slapping each other! So who knows?
Moral of the story:
A. Don’t let your kids slap Stake Presidents
and
B. If they are prone to slapping, don’t let anyone get their faces close enough for your baby to slap them!
Kingston has just encountered his first allergy–and hopefully his last! We got the Wal-Mart brand baby wipes for the first time–the biggest box of, like, 700 or something. Anyway, yeah so I don’t know what to do with the rest of the 675 wipes but King is sure allergic to those. Poor little guys. His cheeks are so beat up from the wipes.
I think we’ll have to stick with Pampers and Huggies.
I’m sitting here at the desk at 6 am thinking to myself, you know what? I am soooo not a morning person anymore. I’m just about to leave for work, which is the ONLY reason I would be up this early. Tim said that Kingston let him sleep in til 830! Kingston never lets me sleep in til that late! Dang, look at the good things you miss out on when you’re gone! haha.
Tim and I are going to see Inception tonight. We’re pretty excited to see it since EVERYONE has said how amazing it is.
HAVE A GREAT THURSDAY!
Today was my first day back at work. I worked the day shift because that’s where they needed me today. Let’s just say mornings and I don’t get along…anymore. It’s too hard going to bed early, then getting up at 5am! I’m so grateful I work the swing shift. I couldn’t have asked for a better first day back. It was great.
It felt good to get back into my gym routine. I went there after work. Ah. I don’t hurt like I thought I would. Maybe because I only went 3000 meters on the rower and 20 minutes on the eliptical! I know…I’m a wuss! Maybe more tomorrow…
Since Mom was out of town for her birthday, we had she and Dad over for a birthday dinner last night. Mom requested Mexican food. So I made the food and an ice cream cake. I forgot to take pictures, but maybe it was a good thing I didn’t take one of the cake though. It was a little lopsided and scary looking anyway. It was so fun. I think we need to have more dinners over here. And Kingston was so good, just content sitting in his high chair (never happens) and watching Grandma and Grandpa while snacking on foods on his tray. It was great.
Do you know how in every ward there is that family with the kid(s) that are loud and running in the back of the chapel during church?!
Yeah, well that’s us! haha. Never thought I’d be that family…probably b/c I never had kids until now! Go figure.
Kingston does not sit still. Not on a chair, lap…anything. He was eyeing a cute little girl his age yesterday during church. Uh oh. She was pinching his cheeks (who wouldn’t) and he was kind of slapping her face lightly…what kinds of things are we teaching him? haha. I have no idea. Ask me what I learned in church yesterday–I couldn’t tell you. I could tell you how many purses/bags Kingston went through {P.S. none of the bags were ours}. He took a few books from other people, a few programs, and tried to join a family in their puzzles and games that they were playing. All in all, an eventful Sunday.
Wonder what next week will be like?
So…
I’ve been on leave for about 9 weeks b/c of the FINGER!
Crazy, I know. But hard to work with one hand.
Saw the surgeon and hand therapist, I’m going back to work mid week.
P.S. 2 working hands is definitely the way to go…
+ : it will be nice going back into a routine
oh, and making money–good money
- : it’s been so fun being home with Kingston, and Tim (when he works from home), it’s hard giving up that freedom
But, all in all, we are so blessed to BOTH have great jobs. I couldn’t ask for much more…
Here’s a few pictures of Kingston’s Day. I can’t believe he’s 1!
gracefully swinging…
I think he’s done swinging…it was already over 100*.
Had to change clothes after a lunch at Panera Bread…Chicken Noodle Soup…King’s favorite
Who needs a cake–when you have Jamba Juice?!
Yummy 5Fruit Frenzy!
